Then choose a weekly Mat Time plan or an activity that interests your child. Follow the linked pages to find the relevant printables, gather your materials and prepare a few activities at a time.

Introduce the weekly number, letter, shape, colour and animal together, then offer the suggested activity. Alternatively, invite your child to choose from a prepared learning basket or activity bag.

Favourite resources can be revisited in different ways using playdough, toys, magnetic tiles, loose parts or sensory materials.

Follow your child’s interests, abilities and pace. There is no need to complete every activity or follow a strict timetable. If a printable feels too challenging, Learn Through Play offers simpler, hands-on steps to explore first, so you can return to the printable when your child is ready.
